ecourban ltd was established in 2010 as a bespoke arboricultural consultancy providing specialist advice to developers and home owners on trees and development related projects.  We have experience working on a wide range of schemes from family home extensions to multi-unit development sites. We can provide an initial ‘walk over’ appraisal of any new site, followed by detailed tree constraints, an arboricultural implications assessment, method statement and a detailed tree protection plan to support your planning application. We also provide guidance on new surfacing and structures close to trees to reduce arboricultural impact, increasing the likelihood of a successful planning outcome. We can follow up with a post planning consent service dealing with tree related planning conditions and site supervision and we are always happy to liaise with local authority tree officers on your behalf. 

Barrie Draper is the director and consultant for the company. He has a BSc (Hons) degree in Arboriculture and he has previously been employed as a tree surgeon and local government arboricultural officer before he began working in tree consultancy in 2005.  He has completed over 700 tree and development related projects throughout the UK since ecourban was incorporated in 2010. 

Based in Salisbury in Wiltshire, but increasingly active countrywide, ecourban has a proven track record in delivering favourable tree related planning decisions on development sites.
